How dismal were MDK runners on Saturday??

Lost heavily on Saturday following his "up and coming" champs Jayed and Pine princess.
I, for one, have come to terms that as far as SA racing goes they have significantly lost their dominance. Jayed and the likes can run without my money in future.

C'mon Sealegs....................you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but JAYED was the only MAIDEN in that field so there, next time he runs in a MAIDEN PLATE sell the house and the furniture. :P

As for the Princess, it was predicted by the stable that she was looking for further, but notwithstanding that, she did soundly beat the so-called 2 y/o GR1 filly of the year.

You could be right, as right now he is sitting with a MR of 109, only 5 points adrift of triple GR1 winner and numerous other GR 2 and 3 winner LEGISLATE, so it could take JAYYED a lifetime to come back into the '80s. :)

If you want to back a maiden with a rating of 109 then you deserve to do your cash.Harry's son had him stone cold at the weights and in my opinion he had to travel back to Durban after his win in Gauteng and then back to Gauteng this was a lot of traveling in a space of a couple of weeks so imho he was no good thing either.

The man is sitting 2nd on the national trainers log,99,9% of trainers would like to achieve what he has achieved in SA let alone overseas take it on the chin and put it into the history book as all of us have done at some stage of our punting careers stop listening to "tips" and start studying form. This is not a dig at you Sealegs just stating the facts.

What Mike de Kock has forgotten most still have to learn. I would hazard a huge bet that every top trainer has days like Mike experienced on Saturday and bounce back. I recall a few years ago Geoff Woodruff had a shocker at the Scottsville big day. In particular Argonaut was expected to win easily and got rolled. He bounced back from that in no uncertain terms a few months later. To make the sweeping statement that you do tells me you either have a very short memory or are new in the game. MdK will be back its a question of time, you can put the house on that prediction!
