CAMPTOWN LADY finished a close second to subsequent Ascot fourth Cusheen Bridge when last sighted at Southwell and a 4lb rise is probably fair. The daughter of Doyen had some useful form yardsticks behind that day and should have a lot more to offer after just nine career starts. Miss Lucky Penny is on a workable mark based on her best form and cannot be overlooked, while Bangor scorer Second Brook is interesting on his return from a lengthy absence.
Top Tip: CAMPTOWN LADY (
Watch out for: MISS LUCKY PENNY (1)
R2
0lb claimer George Gorman helps negate the 7lb penalty that TOTHEMOONANDBACK carries for his Plumpton success eight days ago and, given he finished second to subsequent Badger Ales Trophy winner Standing Ovation at Wincanton back in October last year, a mark of 112 remains feasible. Brantingham Breeze takes to fences for the first time and is potentially well treated given her unexposed profile and shrewd connections, while Frontier Vic rarely runs a bad race and he's noted as well.
Top Tip: TOTHEMOONANDBACK (1)
Watch out for: BRANTINGHAM BREEZE (4)
R3
John Ferguson won this with Prince Siegfried 12 months ago and can register back-to-back wins in the race courtesy of EL NAMOOSE. The son of Authorized, who was deemed good enough to contest the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March, is a three-time winner in that sphere, including a victory over this trip here last month, and it could be significant that Barry Geraghty is called up for the ride in AP McCoy's absence. Of the others, Regulation will be out to build on a creditable Stratford debut and Minstrels Gallery ran well for second at Fakenham last time.
Top Tip: EL NAMOOSE (2)
Watch out for: MINSTRELS GALLERY (5)
R4
Softsong is a fascinating addition to David Pipe's string and the Doncaster maiden winner is potentially well treated off 130 on his first start for a shrewd stable. Long Lunch represents an in-form yard and should be fitter for his Stratford reappearance, but VOLNAY DE THAIX's unexposed/progressive profile is hard to get away from and Nicky Henderson's inmate gets the vote. A creditable fifth in a Grade 1 novice event at Aintree in April, he can show why he's the class horse in the race.
Top Tip: VOLNAY DE THAIX (1)
Watch out for: LONG LUNCH (7)
R5
The switch to fences might have been the making of A Tail Of Intrigue and the impressive course scorer must be taken seriously. My Wigwam Or Yours showed a good level of form over hurdles and is expected to have been well prepared for his fencing bow, but NED STARK gets the vote. Alan King's lightly-raced six-year-old won a novice hurdle event at Chepstow with any amount in hand earlier this year and the decision to switch him to fences at this stage of his career suggests he's showing all the right signs in the schooling ring at home.
Top Tip: NED STARK (4)
Watch out for: A TAIL OF INTRIGUE (2)
R6
Hi Note remains on a workable mark but this trip may prove to be on the sharp side for her, while Roja Dove is entitled to strip fitter for her Stratford reappearance and the reapplied visor may eke out the required improvement. OUR PHYLLI VERA is preferred, though, as she'll be race-fit following her Newbury spin on the level last month and is just 3lb higher than when winning a similar handicap at Plumpton in March.
Top Tip: OUR PHYLLI VERA (5)
Watch out for: HI NOTE (2)
R7
VENUE OF HONOUR fetched a whopping 270,000gns as a two-year-old and is a well-bred half-brother to US Grade 3 winner Society Hostess. The son of Arch represents a yard that are no strangers to readying one first time out and the booking of Barry Geraghty for his racecourse debut suggests he'll be raring to go. Tethra represents a rare Richard Fahey runner in a bumper and the market should tell us more about her chance, while smartly-bred newcomers Bendomingo and Elkstone are also noted.
Top Tip: AVENUE OF HONOUR (1)
Watch out for: ELKSTONE (5)

BEACON LADY was an above-average sort on the Flat, winning eight times, and she currently possesses a rating of 99 in that sphere. If she's been well schooled at home by her new yard then she could have too much class for her rivals now debuting over timber. A Doll In Milan has shown promise between the flags and is worth a market check now debuting under Rules. Dancing Solo could improve for her debut spin at Worcester and is also considered.
Top Tip: BEACON LADY (3)
Watch out for: A DOLL IN MILAN (1)
R2
THE OMEN struck over this trip on soft ground at Worcester two starts back and although he failed to justify favouritism at Plumpton last time and now has to race off a 3lb higher mark, he's making only his third start over fences and there could be plenty of improvement left in the locker. Gizzit landed minor money off 3lb lower at Southwell last time and has claims if handling the testing conditions. C&D winner Morestead has dropped to within 1lb of his last winning mark and also enters calculations.
Top Tip: THE OMEN (2)
Watch out for: GIZZIT (1)
R3
SHANTOU BOB, successful in a point-to-point and bumper, maintained his unbeaten record when landing a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las last month. Warren Greatrex's charge incurs a penalty but sets the standard on that performance and is fancied to make it four on the spin. The main dangers may be Sidbury Hill and hurdles debutant Solstice Star, both of whom get weight from the selection and have demonstrated ability in previous outings.
Top Tip: SHANTOU BOB (1)
Watch out for: SIDBURY HILL (7)
R4
Jim Best has secured the services of Jamie Spencer for the ride on LYSSIO and the 106-rated seven-year-old, who won twice over timber last summer, makes plenty of appeal in the hope first-time blinkers may sharpen him up this afternoon. Tealissio is only 2lb higher than his C&D win 12 months ago and is worth a market check on his return from a break, likewise Beau Lake, who arrives on a hat-trick but has been off the track since January.
Top Tip: LYSSIO (2)
Watch out for: BEAU LAKE (3)
R5
Morgan's Bay should remain competitive following a 3lb rise for his recent win at Worcester but, on the forecast testing ground, preference is for TRESOR DE BONTEE, who won twice over this trip on heavy ground at Uttoxeter last year and should be monitored closely in the betting now returning from a break as he's gone well fresh in the past. Vikekhal ran creditably over 2m6f at Fontwell last time and likely has more to offer in this sphere if coping with this drop in distance.
Top Tip: TRESOR DE BONTEE (1)
Watch out for: VIKEKHAL (2)
R6
Warren Greatrex has his string in fine order at the minute so now could be a good time to catch EASY BEESY, who won several times on soft ground over timber and now debuts over fences on his seasonal return. Bebinn is fitted with a first-time hood on his chase bow but of more interest is Promised Wings, who looks on a fair chase mark relative to his best hurdles form. Royal Palladium remains a maiden and needs to improve for the switch to fences.
Top Tip: EASY BEESY (2)
Watch out for: PROMISED WINGS (3)
R7
PAS DE CHAPEAU's debut sixth at Punchestown wasn't devoid of promise and she's expected to improve for the run now she has the benefit of experience behind her. The main danger may be Harry Fry's Kilda's Rock, who has run between the flags and now debuts under NH rules. Jambul Tree is fitted with a hood on her racecourse debut and is worth a market check along with fellow newcomer Trigger Point, who is a rare NH runner for Hughie Morrison.
Top Tip: PAS DE CHAPEAU (5)
Watch out for: TRIGGER POINT (7)
