OH WHEN THE SAINTS.....
10 years 7 months ago
My daughter- in- law in England has informed me today, that 5 years ago, Southampton were lying 22nd in League One behind teams like Carlisle Utd,Exeter City and Milton Keynes Dons!
Today they are wedged between Chelsea and Manchester City in 2nd place in the Premier League.
I am still waiting for congratulations from my son.He is a Manchester United supporter.
The bubble is going to burst because from Mid November to end December we meet the big boys but we are still having a good run and enjoying the day.

Love how Southampton went about business in the transfer window. Everyone saying they sold their squad but they sold over hyped English players(all English players are over hyped in fairness) for more money than they were worth and got in better replacements for cheaper. Also have a cracking youth system and put a preseason bet on them finishing top 6 so hope they keep performing like they are! The bubble won't burst, barring City, Arsenal and Chelsea, Southampton are just as good as any team in the league right now. Squad depth isn't great but if the team can stay relatively injury free they'll keep up there. Can see them finishing in the top 4 if Tadic, Pelle and their defense don't pick up any injuries but have topped up my top 6 bet at 11/10 now. Scary they were upwards of 8/1 on the same bet at the start of the season.
