Boardwalk Classic gets juice injected

Race 2 Fairview Friday 24th Oct - jockey Grant van Niekerk dropped a classic in the post race interview: '...Yvette told me that they injected him with some stuff this morning...It certainly worked.'

was this a joke??? in the light of what's going down with Paul Lafferty????

Could the statement the jock made not be seen as bringing the sport into disrepute.

Problem for me was that this is an unsound horse - now in my lay opinion surely the only injection that would benefit a horse like this on race day is a pain killer of sorts - Did the NHRA ask what the injection was for as they have the Jockey on record - I don't like what I heard and I think the Jockey over-spoke - Lets see what happens - At the very least the NHRA should release a statement on the matter

perhaps the comment was in jest - ? even then, I'd think the jockey was implicating the trainer. The horse won - all winners get urine tested, results out in a couple of days.
