Since the end of the world cup they have been looking for a defender

First they were going to sign World Cup winner Hummels. Well they didn't happen
Then it was Vermaelen and he ended up at Barcelona
Then it was some Italian player
Now its this guy. 4th choice. Good luck with that

He will be staying at Real or if he does indeed leave he will be signing for either Arsenal or Liverpool. These players want to play for clubs that are on the up and not on the way down (playing wise)

You only as good as your last game... Or season!

Still not the biggest club (actually shrinking by the second), and definitely not the best but each for their own...

Biggest supporters club & more silverware in their cabinet in the last 20 years than most other EPL teams, not so??

I'm serious when I say

Manchester United may not make the Champions League for the next 15/20 years..
Think about it,the owners only take money out,the guy that is supposed to sanction new players is useless, top players want CL football, the manager was brought in for a quick fix,but he's hands are tied regarding spending.

Biggest error they made was listening to Sir Alex Ferguson, who went against going for Mourinho and instead rubber stamped Moyes..
That's like having a pastie instead of fillet steak.

Dave, apparently - and I have not checked it - but over the last 12 months or so, starting with Zaha, United have spent 140 million on new players, 2nd only to PSG... that was before Rojo and seemingly funds are still available. Whether that amount of spending is truly only second to PSG I am not so sure, maybe it was nett or something, but it is no small amount of money to be paying in any event. That does not seem to tie in with your view on the purse strings. The issue to me is more that they spent 70 million on 2 players who play in a position where we quite possibly did not need strengthening and I aired those concerns when those players were signed. I hope Mata becomes a huge success but right now it seems to me it would have been better for us not to bought him and been able to go back for Fabregas, who I said last year I thought would be excellent for us. Not only do we not have him but your team has done that swap and I can only see it being to your benefit. As with any club etc, money cannot be "wasted" away and as I said before, the important thing at the moment is to sort out the squad and system. If they fail to do that then, obviously I hope you are wrong, but then there is every chance that United will struggle for many years, no club has any divine right to success.

Personally I would also have gone with Mourinho ahead of Moyes but I understand to an extent why they chose not to and besides, it is history now.

EPL the most successful yes, but not European... And definitely not the best club in football!

As for the supporters, I don't think there's any trophies in that and besides, most of your supporters seem to have jumped off the bandwagon already...
