Clash of the 2 year olds

On Gold Cup day there will be a clash of the 2yo boys........Afrikaburn vs MLJet. I am not looking past these 2.....one of them will win the race.

I think Afrikaburn should be favourite, but dont write off the classy looking MLJet.

Thoughts welcome.....

MLjet looks a stayer, will be better over further imo

MLJet looks a star in the making especially when gets the mind right could be very special as highlighted on other thread

Draws will be interesting, Africaburn drawn 1, but this might be against him as he normally starts slowly and could get shuffled to the rear end of the field. MLJET drawn 13 probably come into 12 and will probably be in the back half of the field anyway, will be interesting to see if he can get across to not race too wide. Both will likely be coming from the back. My preference is with ML but with the shorter straight is going to have to get his act together quicker than at Clairwood or he might get into the race too late. Should be a fascinating contest.

I see it very similar. ML is a top horse and i think he will win. If not, i promise you he will win a few graded races as a 3 year old. I stick with ML. The betting should be interesting when it comes out

I would like to bump this and suggest banker MLJet in everything

2 HORSE RACE...Afrikaburn will be even better over this trip...and HUGE runner is Harry's Son...has had no luck in the running in his last 3 races..IMO, MLJET, not in the 1st 3, won't be suited to Greyville.

I agree, Afrikaburn is the one, but contenders in Harry's Son and Anjaal.

ML to win,Afrikaburn 2nd and Harry's Son3rd....

Definately favouring MLJET at the prices amongst the two of them, but don`t think it`s a 2 horse race

My 5cents worth is Africaburn. A long time since I have seen a horse accelerate like this.
