Best bets - 12/13 July

Played the treble :-
Kenilworth R7) Act Of War (1/5) X Sharks (handicap +6.5) 4/10 X Germany (12/10 to win in 90 minutes) = 28/10
Act Of War should have the field stone cold at the weights.
Sharks, well by the time they take on the Stormers, they win know exactly what is required to gain second spot on the overall log, ideally the Crusaders must not win with a bonus point nor by a big winning margin to keep them interested. Over the years, the outcome of the Stormers/Sharks fixtures have been peculiar in that the visiting team wins more often than not - not always, so if the trend holds true, then the Sharks are not without a winning chance, in which case the handicap doesn't come into the equation.
Lastly, Germany will continue their winning ways and defeat Argentina, and inside the 90 minutes. The Argies will not forget the trashing the Germans gave them when dumping them out of the 2010 World Cup, and after the Germans result against Brazil, this must play on their minds.
Well Chicken, took your advice and opened a new thread, look forward to reading your contribution.
Play well Clan.

Clan, I don't wish to hog the limelight here, I'd feel very guilty if I did not share this with you
Sunday, 13/07, Turffontein, R7, take the 28/10 about Featherfoot now, it won't start that price on the day. This horse is absolutely slung in here without the apprentice allowance of 2.5kgs being a three time winner. She is a MR 88 racing in a MR 83 and will carry 59.0kgs. She has her fellow 3 year old contemporaries stone cold at the weights and the older rivals really don't have the exposed form to win. You may think Ohiki Bay is well weighted carrying 50.5kgs, to have a winning chance, she should carry 48.0kgs, so she is in effect 2.5kgs out with Featherfoot.
Get in before the stampede

Dean123, I'm not confident the Sharks will win, that's the reason I've opted for the +6.5, so should they lose, then I'm hoping it will be within the handicap. I'm not a rugby fundi, however they are fielding a relatively strong team which hopefully is a sign of intent of their winning aspirations. The other thing, no team wants to go into a knock out match on the back of three defeats, it's not good for the psyche. So by taking the +6.5, I'm hoping to have two chances of the ticket being a winning one.

I agree with all the posts....except the fact that i think Argentina stands a great chance in the final. I love the underdog.......

i have been waiting the whole tournament for Argentina to peak........they just havent managed to put in that big game yet........Germany has done their big game. I will maintain the view that Argentina will have a big game in the final and win within the 90 min......score 2-1 to Argies
