Not good news.

Bush Hill Stud Announcement: Passing Of Kahal

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away this morning of multiple KZN champion sire Kahal. He was euthanized this morning on humane grounds after complications arising from abdominal tumours. Our sincere condolences go to his owners Shadwell Stud along with the gratitude of so many breeders who have supported him over the years. He has done KZN proud."

Just was about to post this. Bold Ellinore was one of my favourite horses. Ran a 2nd or 3rd as a 2yo on July Day, shd 2nd to Soft Landing as a 3yo in the Garden Province and won it has a 4yo. Also won the KZN Fillies at any price with Stuart Randolph on board. Interestingly I backed Bold Ellinore mother, Ellinore which won as a 33/1 shot, one week before the July at Greyville in a night meeting. Lunn trained it as a 2yo, Bold Ellinore.
