Do Tellytrack Presenters get paid?
11 years 1 day ago
I was just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the presenters are full time employees, or contract workers or on fixed term contracts. Also is there like a roster or is it organised sort of like who is available tomorrow or the next day? It would be interesting to know how they run that station because there are different people at different meetings and things change regularly.
Anyone know?

They're so useless, that I would not be surprised if some of them pay phumelela to be presenters. The PE and Gtg lot especially. Kzn boys know their stuff, western cape were okay, but now bordering the mediocrity, with vicky starting to become a yes girl, like Julie. Stan passed his sell-by date, with grant not having one to begin with.

Nothing wrong with any off the presenters, their problem is that they are ruled by dictators that have them scared to fart

Easy guys
Thor these posts don't help the image of a forum unless with a name like that you are the commentator for Sweden, then I understand your frustration
I find most of the presenters ok some better than others but it must be difficult trying to promote the likes of Ngong from a studio
I also find many of the shows good, Bonski and Jimmy inserts first class, the Aussies shows great and nothing wrong with Paul and James etc
We also get the hype for Cheltenham, Derby, Ascot, Kentucky, Arc etc but due to the " bookies war" no pictures for the punters and we sit with bated breath to hope and pray someone will throw the switch whilst they actually attend the overseas meetings live, it's like " tell the punters to eat cake" attitude
I am sure everyone in the racing/ punting industry can feel the negativity in regard to poor communication and I can assure you it's not that easy to just get on line at home as no promotion or marketing has been done on the new decoder or dish :S
Tellytrack the ball is in your court as the longer it goes the more steaming will be sought and take us back to the "bucket shop" days
Good punting and good luck

Dave and everyone Phum and all their owners and staff actually believe that they have the Devine right to everything horse racing and everyone that makes money from the game and disnae bung them a share is the enemy.
There was bookies and competition long before Phum and racing survived, but I'm not sure how well racing will survive in the future

Oscar, as far as I know they are not employees, but on contract. To the best of my info, as such, Rod Mc Curdy decides on the shifts and also at which venue these shifts would be. I am not sure if Rod also decides on KZN.
