Of course they would not do it deliberately - that's not the point - as I understand this is not the first time - so it smacks of incompetence (td)

I didn't agree with that post anymore than you did!
However, the last thing racing needs is the perception that self regulation is failing-if we want a real nightmare, it will be over regulation from government( including calling in people like the SPCA) and that will happen if self regulation fails-ask the short term insurance industry!!!

I remember this happening a few times at Turffontein and also the first time , last year with these new stalls at Clairwood. I have followed up, made some calls and have been assured that they are taking the matter very seriously and have various teams of Electrical Contractors looking into it , urgently.
If my source is correct, the wider scope of input from rival Electrical Companies makes it a very competitive issue, in that the Electrical gurus are not working together but rather, trying to be the one who pinpoints and then solves the problem. Apparently, it is just not a simple thing to define or solve. It appears that staff are not 100% sure whether the leakage came directly from the stalls or from ground etc.
I will post once I hear any further news on the issue.

Well done F. Apparently your horse kicked the back gate causing it to open but the flag had gone up already and the starter was then watching 2 jockeys who were shouting for him to wait in another section of the stalls?

If the horse was settled enough for the flag to go up, it was under starter's orders so why then declare a false start and prejudice every horse EXCEPT the one that caused its own problems.
I trust there is an enquiry ?
