Trainer Websites Updates

Really sad to see that many SA Trainers that do have websites are not updated.

Some sites has last been updated 3 years ago.

The greatest marketing tool is being neglected.

One would think that since Snaith won 2 by Graded races this past Saturday, this news would have plastered all over thier site...(this is not slating them), but makes you think.

There are few websites that update regulary....

And I did not know about the free link from ABC... and I am sure many others don't know about this either.

Our website is updated, but remember that facebook is the newer, faster way to go.

Louis, nothing personal of course but, facebook (or websites for that matter) are only useful if you tell people that they are there and where/how they can be found. Surely it is from within that people should be looking to find where they can advertise their site/page/information and where they are able to put up links? A great marketing tool for both stable and SA horse racing is just slipping on by... but, I have to say, I think that suits some who don't want their words and results looked at too closely.

Even the sites for the industry as a whole are extremely poor imo, they should be great assets in attracting people to racing in whatever capacity, instead they all too often just add to the frustrations of those who are already "involved". Aryan seemingly being a good example. It may be a selfish outlook but as a punter I like to be fed, and fed with plenty, readily available choice, I don't want to go scavenging for titbits and being made to feel I should be eternally grateful for those crumbs... and all the while a little group of fat cats gorge themselves, chuckling away at my expense!

Louis I like all the pages on Facebook, but don't really pay attention to what's posted by the pages

If I was in the horse racing industry I would advertise on 5 sites

ABC
SPORTING POST
TABGOLD
SAFTOTE
FORMGRIDS

the rest are mickey Mouse

The challenge u have always is getting people to your site to see the adverts over and over again. this means constant content updates.

most people get bored with sites very quickly but these 5 sites are always getting traffic due to the content always being updated.

Facebook sites only work if u have a media campaign that constantly keeps the page in a persons mind. Works well when run alongside other media campaigns. Traffic is generally very low though to these type of pages overall.

Industry people like

Trainers
Jockeys
Agents
Farriers
Vets
Breeders
Bookies
Auction Houses
Photographers
etc

u guys are missing an opportunity.
