Stop using contraceptives, Zimbabweans told

Zimbabwe's registrar general Tobaiwa Mudede has reportedly urged Zimbabweans to stop using contraceptives which he says are a ploy by Western countries to retard population growth in Africa.

According to The Herald, Mudede said contraceptives were also conduits for pandemic diseases such as cancer.

Mudede said he had co-authored a book on population control which explained why people should desist from using contraceptives, urging Africans to sire as many children as possible.

Mudede said Zimbabwe could not become a super power if it continued to restrict population growth.

"Why do you want these foreign products?", Mudede was quoted as asking.

He said Nigeria had a population of more than 130 million and its economy was booming while countries like Zimbabwe, which were preoccupied with contraceptives, had subdued economies.

Mudede said most birth control methods were as bad as genetically modified organisms.

So that's why they not a super power! And the answer was right in front of their dicks the whole time.

Nigeria has a little commodity called oil.

As of 2000, oil and gas exports accounted for more than 98% of export earnings and about 83% of federal government revenue, as well as generating more than 14% of its GDP. It also provides 95% of foreign exchange earnings.

Ironically most of this oil is refined outside of the country and imported back

Don't want to get into religion but the Roman Catholics have or still do preach that they should use no contraception. There are millions upon millions of Roman Catholics in Africa

The problem is they will keep breeding and the someone(like SA) will just keep up the feeding programmes...........time for aid to follow a tougher philosophy!
