MOGGY STYLE ….
So they weren’t running on from behind on the day in the winter conditions at Turffontein Inside Course, with the short run-in.
Not for the first 7 races on the card …. Not until Moggytwoshoes came home smoking in the 8th....
In spite of a poor draw and having to come from second last, the game and gutsy filly with an electric turn of foot flew up late to collar the leader in the last few strides in the MR92 F&M Handicap at Turffontein Inside Course on Saturday 10th May, 2014 over 1450m.
Gunther Wrogemann stood in for Deon Sampson who was engaged in Zimbabwe’s Tankard and Gunther rode a perfect race on the day on the Dollery’s, Sandy Blanden and Nolan Maistry owned 4 year old filly. Moggytwoshoes notched up her 5th career win and took her stakes earnings to just shy of R400K.

Well done LG beat a strong field , getting stronger with every run...

Thanks guys ! Yes, JTL, what a great person Terry was.

But, the handicappers have punished her and the road ahead looks bleak. 7 points for a 0,8 length winning margin over 1450m...... But, I have not looked at what they gave the second horse yet, as I just saw the weights of today.... I just think that we are punishing good and consistent horses too much, instead of finding a balance between adding reasonable weight to winners whilst steadily reducing others.

Merit Rating is supposed to help the weaker ones, not punish the good ones. Understanding that, appears to be difficult to grasp , for the handicappers.....

Watch ABC, certain things will come out, but technically, it is now sub judicae, as my advocate is prepping etc.
