Recon a pipe opener for MOMF, being a bit short of his optimal trip. Beach Beauty on the other hand will be perfectly suited.

Must agree with you Shrek, the other thing, Beach Beauty has had her come back run and really runs well at Greyville.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Leading Summerveld trainer Dennis Drier’s only remaining runner in the Champions Season opening meeting at Greyville on Saturday is the champion mare Beach Beauty, who will defend her Gr 2 Drill Hall Stakes crown.

This follows the devastating news that Master Of My Fate is likely out of racing for good after injuring a tendon and the scratching of Eventual Angel from the KRA Fillies Guineas due to an injury she attained in her box, which was not described as serious.

Beach Beauty has drawn 12 in the 1400m event, although she will come into draw ten if the remaining two reserve runners come out.

Her early speed has enabled her to overcome plenty of wide draws before.

Assistant trainer Stuart Ferrie said, “She has definitely come on from her run in the Poinsettia, which she needed after coming back from the Cape.”
