Why SA sport will go down :X

Ray Jennings is absolutely shattered after his contract as national Under-19 cricket coach was not renewed.
'Jet' was overlooked despite leading the South African Under-19 side to their first ever World Cup title earlier this year.
CSA instead appointed Shukri Conrad as national academy head coach and Lawrence Mahatlane as national Under-19 team head coach.
A flippin disgrace. Conrad screwed up WP cricket totally when he was in charge. And wtf is Lawrence Mahatlane ?

Too many fragile egos and arrogance again rearing it's ugly head...sports administrators are not there for the love of the game but to get their noses in the trough...
Sickening that we are constantly striving for the lowest common denominator rather than highest common factor...

Just look at the Springboks when we changed from Jake White to P Divvy.

Jobless Jennings 'shattered'
Cape Town - Ray Jennings is absolutely shattered after his contract as national Under-19 cricket coach was not renewed.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Wednesday informed Jennings that his application for the post was not successful. With his contract set to expire at the end of this month, Jennings re-applied for the role.
'Jet' was overlooked despite leading the South African Under-19 side to their first ever World Cup title earlier this year.
CSA instead appointed Shukri Conrad as national academy head coach and Lawrence Mahatlane as national Under-19 team head coach.
"I would like to congratulate both individuals on their respective appointments and wish them well as we re-organise ourselves for greater success in future," CSA chief executive, Haroon Lorgat, said via a statement released to the media on Wednesday.
"I would also like to thank Ray Jennings for his fantastic service as our Under-19 head coach over the past nine years.
"Change is inevitable and these new appointments follow the restructuring put forward through the Cricket Pipeline Committee and approved by the board in February."
Jennings, in an interview with the Beeld website, said he was "shattered" when he heard the news.
He said he'll be jobless in less than a week and wonders how he will be able to provide for his family and pay his bills.
He said his whole life "changed drastically" with one phone call and it was "tough to process".
Despite winning the World Cup, there was still a lot Jennings wanted to achieve with the SA Under-19 side.
Corrie van Zyl, CSA's general manager of cricket, said the possibility exists for them to use Jennings as a consultant in future.
Van Zyl said change was inevitable and that it would be unfair to say that Jennings was axed for political reasons.

I read about this on Crickinfo last night and i was totally disgusted. The powers that be appoint people to save their own jobs. This is definately motivated by politics therefore last night i have made my mind up regarding May 7th. I am going to VOTE FOR CHANGE, for once in my life.
This is my personal view !

I do feel for the man coaching wise but after coaching IPL Teams if you cant pay your bills then your money management is wretchedly dismal.

The article says that he was the coach for the last 9 years so he has coached at 5 World Cups with a 20% strike rate. It means he lost at the first four attempts, he should have been sacked long ago lol
