show UK racing live from their websites??

Ladbrokes,William Hill etc in the UK have live streaming of races after a qualifying bet

I didn't know about that option but it's a good question, Hibernia.

If they were to go that route then it raises another issue :

a.) The bookmakers would be providing the picture to their local punters. (An added advantage of doing this is that, on average, they could provide more UK racing and a bigger, faster churn without the punter being subject to the whims of the local programmer insofar as what is broadcast).

b.) They would also obviously be providing the betting.

Sooooooooo.................

Why would they be obliged to pay 3% of the betting tax to the local operator - who would no longer be 'putting on the picture' , nor providing the betting or the event in any way whatsoever? Hmmmmmm.

In the meantime I'll continue as I have been for the last 2 weeks or so..........no betting on any horse racing whatsoever. I just find a delayed picture unacceptable and listening to Timeform Radio without a picture a little too bland.
