I do not punt-- i did have something on Variety club though and some other in dubai but that is just it.. I cannot go sit in a tote and punt -- i prefer playing from the comfort of my own home. Out of sight out of mind.. The jpt quick mix is now a joke..

From what i have heard, turnover and obviously profit for the provinces and the operators has declined by +_ 20%.If you change the goalposts take on the chin.We will see when the tax returns are shown on the various provincial gaming board reports,if the post the results. The only up to date stats come from KZN and the E Cape.Gauteng and the W.Cape are always behind.Tell Zille to wake up.

They have to bring overseas racing back.Easier to make money in the uk than here and the tote don't mind that cause they take a % of the pool.So if the tote wants to stay in business more racing than just ours is the way to go.Two pick 6 carryovers in 2 days shows how inconsistent our racing really is.

I believe UK racing accounted for about 40% turnover of one of KZN's leading bookmakers, now gone thanks to TT/Phumelela.

and the incorrect runons are excellent - I used to keep my second TV on Teletrack until 7pm(always took a few PA's and other bets) now after the last local its off -
This decision is like a major company building a brand for years and when it has a strong following you stop distribution of the product (and say if you want it you can only get it at our warehouse)- Whoever came up with this brilliant strategy might just have to explain to the shareholders when Betting turnover is down(if the reports are to be believed) The more races you have to bet on the more Phum makes money so this clever move goes completely against Churnover for profit - I wonder how this can be explained away? Maybe it will be something like "We decided that taking profit from 8 to 10 local races is much better than 30/40 races in the afternoon' I think the accountants will smile quietly and send HR the instruction for retrenchment of certain individuals
