your new hobby 2024...

the way racing is going in SA we may all be looking for a new hobby and in some cases proffession within 10 years, any suggestions?

I reckon we should open Poker Lounges .... where okes could hang out, play for stakes which suit them, have a few drinks ....sort of like the weekly dart competitions that were prevalent in the late 70's , early to mid 80's....

And considering the average age on this forum Greg... a lot of us wont be around in 2024

if I am able and can afford it a 24 -year-old

great concept maybe we could start it now.
at least the turf for yr other hobby is maintained properly...

Will be close to 50 so although still a bit young,will take up bowls

I tried bowls but got bored, maybe curling?
Not sure the kids on the ice rink would be happy if I started practicing ?

Scotia, the lads and lassies will all love you and swarm around you and start teaching you to do double-lutzes, etc. I can just see you now, twhirling round madly in a Biellman spin, with one foot up in the air above your head and you clutching your skate. Oldest Olympic competitor in the figure skating, how about it? Go on ...

use the kids on the ice rink as skittles....

Playing poker you can pull a straight flush and win nothing. In racing, any day you pull the equivalent to that, you put the lights out! No competition. If only we could explain that....
