Got a lot of respect for Mike Azzie and his stable, but man do they seem out of form.
Last 30 runners 1 winner(3%), last 100runners 7 winners(7%). He is a top trainer and if compared with a few of the other trainers around.
Alec Laird: 3 in 30(10%). 16 in 100(16%)
Duncan Howells: 4 in30(13%) 12in 100(12%)
Sean Tarry 8in30(26%) 23in 100(23%)
I'm too tired to add a few more.
I know u can't compare certain trainers due to string, province, weather, etc, etc, BUT I rate this stable and am just interested to know whatcould be the issue.

Hmm lots of viewers ( 146 ) no replies !
my guess it's that graph again of the highs & the lows....... right now going thru the lows - very much so.
I backed Both his horses yesterday, the best was a 2nd.
M.A. will bounce back, it's just a case of WHEN ?

Soccer, rugby ,Jocks and all other sportsmen all come to a point when their career dips or stops usually when they either get too old or lose the drive
Stoute in the UK and even Uncle George Scott have found it harder to get winners in the later years of their careers

The facts remain -
1)GREAT Trainer.
2)Knocked by virus.
WHY IS EQUINE HERPES VIRUS NOT A CONTROLLED DISEASE IN SA, LIKE IN UK! , WHERE FOALS ARE INNOCULATED WHEN THEY LOSE THEIR MOTHERS IMMUNITY ???????
We are the most thick and stupid racing industry ever created ! What we are doing is akin to us not innoculating our children against polio and then waiting for them to get the disease and then run around and quickly try and vaccinate, when its TOO LATE !!!
And then, IN SPITE OF studies done Worldwide on SAME EHV, we now want to do OUR OWN study... just so that someone can line their pockets....
And you want to see how they COMPLICATE the study.....play for time....
And Mike Azzie, like all other Trainers, just has to bite the bullet and get through this horrid time. Good news is that his horses are starting to show, now and he will be firing again soon.

The Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China, was the chief residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to India during the 1959 Tibetan uprising. It is now a museum and UNESCO World
