I really fancy Manzai in the 1st. He is speedy and ran well enough last time. He has had some excuses like not acting on the Vaal sand. Now he will be having his 3rd run after a rest in a field that doesn't seem to hold too many superstars, I think 8/1 is value about him

I'll take you on with Battle of Alma - very good form imo (tu)

Maybe the Kazm formline is a pointer Manzai and Battle of Alma... 3 length difference in favour of Battle of Alma on collateral form. But i think you 2 are gonna be racing for second behind Samogan faded late over the 1200 metres, blinkers stay on and coming down to the 1000m trip.

Imo speed over 1200 does not always translate into speed over 1000 - also the draw might be a factor - we'll see what transpires at 12:10 this afternoon (tu)

outsider to consider in Race 1 - GOLD NOTE - Showed huge pace on debut and then stopped - Stable was under viral attack at that time and a much improved run is on the cards
VERACRUZ obviously has problems but must have shown Tarry something as he bought the half-brother for Van Niekerk (Inti - scratched) - A horse worth watching as is the brother when he does make his debut

I seem to recall LouisG comment that before Dontbeamoegoe last run, 1600m was to far and he prefers shorter.
A full claim into 10/1?
