Finish line photos

Where are the cameras positioned that take the finishing photos, and how many cameras are there at the finishing line? hope some wise guy does not reply, at the finishing line.
It amazes me that thousands of viewers are able to identify the winning horse, but we end up seeing a different decision as a final result.
The third deadheat in PE yesterday as an example. Race 6, Arrow Heart won the race. I did not back the horse.
These kind of decisions are not good for racing transparency, but it appears that transparency is not the buzzword with the powers of racing.
Maybe some photos of camera angle placement at each of our tracks would help, and also by who, and how often the camera angles are calibrated.
An investigative racing journalist would do a world of good to the general racing public by looking into this and publishing the findings, to take the stigma out of this issue.

I can't believe it but I agree with what you've said - Yesterday's photo's should have put up by TT straight after the race - I backed the horse that DH with Arrow and I thought with the naked eye I was gone

I also saw the photo on TT and thats why I made my comment on another thread. Can "they" adjust the thickness of the line on the photo ? The Greef horse's nose just touches the line if you look very carefully and Arrow's nose is into the line just short of his nostrils !! What a joke !! This would never happen anywhere else but PE. I think that is why TT posted the photo finish. They must have been rolling with laughter in the studio.

I remember one of the first meetings they had there was also a tight decision that favoured the inside horse. It could be that we are getting the finnish at a bit of an angle. I also thought the outside horse got it.

This was declared a triple dead heat but for me the winner is the horse nearest the camera ?
