I do not understand how the academy works...

Craig Zackey has been transferred to Jhb. Gets 1 ride tonight.

Been riding close on 75% of Howells horses in Durban with great success.

How is this move better for the youngster??

Spoke to Duncan immediately after Veale rode a shocker on Roc n Rose on Sunday and he was really upset about this arrangement.

I think Craig had almost 20 winners since the 1st Aug 2013 for Duncan and now the Academy move him to Jhb.
Duncan asked the Academy not to move him but they refused.
I am an owner in Duncan's yard and I am very unhappy about this.

A veteran Jock told me this happens quite often, many times a leading appie has been shipped out of Durban back to the centre of application. He says at least these days the Jocks go to an academy in his days they had to stay with trainers..
