I think punters were led a bit of a merry dance there... trifecta/quartet horse but afterwards trainer quietly confident and owners say trainer gave them confidence. I think it likely more was known than was said to the public. If that was the case, thanks for the transparency and letting the horse drift before backing it as late as possible. Cost a lot of people a lot of money no doubt, its not all about "inner circles", could have just backed it at opening price and shown the confidence rather than be greedy and let people waste money. Really p1sses me off when I suspect that kind of a "coup", has no place in the game imo and just drives punters away. Not that they probably care about anything but themselves (td)

principially you are right, engel, but in this case one have to say, that they could not haven taken big bets as the tote payout is still around 29-1. and confidence does not mean, that they believe it willw inn, especially when there is an more or less unknown de-kock-runner in
