I would think that if Gift rides all the work, he is probably best qualified to ride the races -I am sure the Shams will let us know in time!

Somebody PM'd this kind of question the other day Harris. Only the Shams know unless they have said something and it is common knowledge in PE. If they choose to comment here I am sure they will. the point I made in my PM was that I think the Shams put in a lot of work to get Gift back in the saddle. Once riding again they may have stated that Gift would be given a lot of rides by the stable. JP may have been aware of this and therefore the "partnership" may always have been a temporarily permanent one, if you get my meaning, with both parties knowing the longer term scenario. Of course, it may equally have nothing to do with it.

Thanks for that. I only asked whether he would be riding for them in the future or not ? I never asked for the nitty gritty.

i would think JP will remain part of the stable. He has been very good to the Shams, so i see no reason why the Shams would not give him rides anymore. As i have stated before, JP will be an asset to any stable and i'm sure the Shams know this.

My question would be......who is getting the best rides B)-

All the very best to everyone for the new year!

They replied to me on a fairview thread a while back when I asked why Gunther wasn't riding a certain horse and the simple answer was gift does the work. More than fair.

A new jock that does work for Craig took cool styles out today at clairwood and does work on my boy. If he continues to work my boy i will have no problem if Craig says to give him the first few rides to see what he can do.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!
