R1 Although a couple have from very high draws in recent months, I simply can't back one at a very short price from there so Vanity Fair is a pass for me. E/W value for me is Darielle. Closest may be Golden Assembly with Fly Peg Fly and Bez valley having claims.
R2 Bold words Titch but imo could well be right, Mumsy's Jet may have been finishing strongly but the quality of opposition in that race perhaps was on the poor side. That said, it does not look the strongest here either. Rainier has done well since gelding and could be the right one but in search of value again, I'll try an e/w with Brigtnumbertwo. Though well beaten in his first two races, from his debut run the 3rd,4th,5th and 6th have all won since and from hos second run the first three have all won again. It does look a weak field though so I have also has a little on the debutant Cold Shot who from the 1 box could be involved if anything a quarter decent.
R3 The front two in the market will probably fight it out but one is a debutant and the other is unlikely to be a world beater. More in hope than anything else my idiot quartet will be Miesques Ballot x Fabric x Fair Catch x Beloved Trick
R4 Family Fortune is another too short in the market for my liking and I prefer Royal Durban. Timeless Test and The Best Way both have chances imo and I may side with doing e/w's on these two.
R5 Blouberg Beach represents the e/w value for me here and I think Henchman and King Jace will be involved in the finish.
R6 King Neptune the likeliest imo, Dame Victoria may be some value with Educated likely to be in the vicinity and Victory Emblem is one that bugs me and will have to be backed because of the itch!
R7 Libertine looks a decent e/w stab at the prices. The bug me is Island Fiesta who is twice the price of Cossack General even though there was only 0.25l between them last time and IF has won his last two times coming back from a rest, has run the course before and is a c/d winner.
R8 Another one too short for me is La Cenerentola though is respected and did win from a tough draw first time out. Sutherfeni despite another poor draw is perhaps worth an e/w at a double figure price. Torch Queen a small idiot e/w and Tiger Run respected.
R9 Maynoona could well win but a watching brief for me. I quite like Erotic Pulse here despite the big weight with Melanchete respected, Special Occasion could challenge and Khanya perhaps a very small idiot.
R10 Mainmast has two wins and two 2nds from 4 runs in wet conditions and if not for the rest would have been my choice. In the end though I favoured Cotswold and Trix Of The Trade.
Open card with a horror or two likely. Sticking to small e/w's.
Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)
