Reading between the lines in his star of the week interview he seemed fed up of doing all the work on joeys horses that are owned by MJ only for Marcus to come on the big days and win the big ones, Glen is too good of a jockey to play second fiddle . I met him a couple of times and must say he is a very nice guy. All the best going foward with Brett Crawford who is also a very nice guy, you guys make a top team

I always wondered about that. Why would any self respecting jockey want to do the work, or even do the work properly, on any horse he knows he's never going to get to ride should it become a star, or even above average. That's surely a prob jooste's bigger stable horses have.

I was doing Gerrit Schlechter's rides back then...we ran a short head 2nd on the stablemate Trademark who then went on to win the July with Striker up and Gerrit unsighted on Bunter Barlow :) (was 2000/01 season)
