Durbanville on Saturday
11 years 9 months ago
Hi All; can anybody please give me an update on the rainfall in Durbanville.
I know that sometimes it does not rain as heavily in Durbanville as the other areas, and I was thinking of coming through to the course on Saturday.
Just thought I would ask the guys who live close to the course for their opinion on whether they think the metting will go ahead or not...
Many Tks

Been raining on and off the whole day and non-stop for the last 2 hours. Lot's more coming tonight. I'm in the Tygerberg area.

World first (only in Africa though), when they sell off Milnerton, why not invest the money in retractable roofs for both the Western Cape courses. They will not lose any more meetings to adverse weather. Wimbledon and one of the Aussie stadiums both have retractable roofs, a few which spring to mind - problem solved.

There's a cheaper option, replace the alumites with flippers and the horse that crosses the line last with all four flippers on, is declared the winner, a kind of donkey handicap:D
