Pool Limits - Bookmakers

Bookmakers have a rule that you cannot win more than the pool in the Open Bet. Fair enough that some bookmakers do no take back the bets so in turn you can get a higher payout in the exotics. The gripe I have is that we dont know how much the Bookmaker is holding for that bet placed particularly in the overseas exotics so why should we be limited if the bookmaker take in the race is more than than the Saftote Pool.

I have never really understood this. Do you mean to say that the P6 pays R1m on the official tote, but HWood says you cannot win more than R500k, so whatever % you took is the % of R500k and not % OF R1m?

How about you all boycott bookies till they have zero limit after all they can take the bet back if they want.....if they choose to hold it and not change the dynamic of the pool and the payout they should face the consequences

Boycott the open bet for 3 days and i guarantee you no limits

Need to rally quite a few punters to boycott the bookies

Guys a hate the tote with a passion because they steal 25% before u even get started , if there is no value playing exotics with bookies play on the tote and use the bookies for the win pools and places

Does the tote give credit ? (
