Sometimes one gets what you ask for (tu)

I thought Roger Smith came across very well and talked a lot of sense in explaining the thought processes that went into selecting the final field; as always there will be disappointments, but that's just the way it goes - the only slight question that I still am not clear about is how Yukon Gold got 'in' (albeit as a reserve) in front of Eugenes.

As for contenters at this early stage I think the Marwing stable will win the race - but can't split Uncle Tommy and Here Comes Billy, Tayba to run into 3rd and while my original shrewdie Storm Surf has been done no favors by the draw, he could still complete the quartet; I can't have Pylon over the trip

11.5kg between top and bottom weights? this should no be the handicap or if it is maximum should be 8kg difference? also why no sex allowance for filly?

So who would you have him riding - imo too far for Contador and Accros the Ice, too short for Pylon and Mr Tobin, Jet Jamboree over-rated - I think MS will finish in front of all of those ::o

Simple answer - as pirates has said - it's a handicap with a benchmark at 52 kg's = 94 .

my point is be cause this is the premium race for sand horse surely this should no be the handicap? if you have filly you have little chance to win i re member sandy beach and magner filly both were well beat. i no think the filly ever win these race think sandy beach poor third is best
