Now that VC is gone, who is the best horse from a mile to 2200m in SA at the moment?
I would have to say Jackson no race

I think you may see a sharper better harder faster classier Cape Town Noir this season.....he'd be my pick but time will tell!

Beach Beauty was the 2nd best last season, if she's still around this season I don't see why she won't step into VC shoes

Quite a big range from a mile to 2200 meters, some are brilliant at a mile but wouldn't see out 2200.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Master of my Fate yet. (:P)

You are right, 1600m to 2200m is a bit of a wide range.
Basically I'm looking for the horse of the year excluding 3yos.
Beach beauty is. Very good, but I don't know if she will beat. Jackson again like she did in the Met. But I could be wrong.

Jackson is a top horse but he seems to race better fresh. If he has a long campaign he seems to go off the boil IMO.
