Will we beat an AHS outbreak this summer::o

?.....been chatting to some horsy folk in the area where I live......wall to wall mink and manure set since I am now a neighbor to the new Waterfall Equestrian Estate and the Stonefield Polo Club......They maintain with the extremely mild winter we have just had that was largely frost free it is expected that midge populations will appear a lot earlier and start to thrive after the rains. These are conditions that are conducsive to a higher probability of an AHS outbreak in the area.......:

Does not sound good and I am sure will not help our case to relax quarantine restrictions.
