Only the 1st 2 races are really small.

Morning P, if you take away the first 2 races ( a graduation and a novice) then the average size of the field is 13+. In a time when many stables have or are doing their H/S vaccinations, that is not bad at all. The very reason we have small fields in the 1st 2 races is one of the reason we have restrictions. We say bring your best horses and improve the standard of our racing and the size of our plate races. The horses who run in those type of races are normally your better type so GC is trying to improve the class of racing here and not take it backwards by becoming the dumping ground for the outside stables lesser horses so that they can keep their better horses at home and still have these trained by them. We welcome your better horses with open arms.

Arghhh...Craig. You have now opened that can of worms again. Methinks we better open another thread.
