Because you can't predict the winter anymore...last season no meetings lost.....and it rained in November. What do you do if you don't race in Aug and it pours down in September?
Re the poly track you can't just take horse racing on grass all its life and go and raid and race on a poly track......every 2 nd horse will break down......and what concerns me is I don't think too many people have thought of that scenario yet!

w.e i here what you say of poly but their is no only poly races in pe may be the stakes can be raised a little and make this pe season so it make sense for ct horse to raid? i say is better to raid than leave the horse watch rain in box in ct?

are you sure you loose no meetings last year re?

Hibs the sun sets so late there in Summer that it would be a waste to put up lights

If I recall 86 meetings carded for the season and 86 meetings held.....already 2 new dates set in Sept to replace 2 of the lost meetings....

Lets see what happens in PE re the poly......

Cape needs an all weather track. This is just insane to be losing so many meetings
