Race1...Gucci D’oro (USA) was denied the hat trick last time out at Musselbrough after finding the 2m stretched him a little. He makes plenty of appeal back in trip under a jockey that knows him well. Azrag is 2/2 over course and distance and this lightly raced 5 year old makes plenty of appeal on the back of a lengthy absence with Simon Walker booked to ride. Shahrazad has won 3/13 starts and is upped in trip to eke out some further progression. He won 2 runs back under this pilot at Newbury and backed it up with a decent 2nd last time out at Windsor. Teide Peak (IRE) has won 2 of his 11 starts 1 here at the track and both under today’s jockey. He needs to bounce back from 2 below par efforts on turf where he was well beaten. Dazzling Valentine is a course and distance winner and returned to winning ways 2 runs back at Lingfield and wasn’t disgraced last time out behind the thriving Beacon Lady and in foal Reset City. She has a good jockey on board she is 1lb below her highest winning mark and definitely not ruled out. Waahej has shown he still retains some ability since returning from a long break and he is beginning to look very well treated. A trappy contest with several in the line up with chances. Gucci D’oro is going the wrong but he may not be suited to this surface. Azrael may need the run on the back of a break. We think this is between Waheej and Danzzling Valentine with preference for the latter and Dazzling Valentine is my selection

Race2..Rocket Rob (IRE) has paid his way down the years and is back on a winning mark. He is drawn out with the washing though. Boxing Shadows has won twice over course and distance and is just 1lb above his last winning mark. He benefits from the 3yr old weight for age allowance and has to be seriously considered. Royal Aquisition has won 2 of his 5 starts and makes plenty of appeal returned to the polytrack. M J Woodward was prolific on the AW over last winer but has struggled off marks this high. Shawkantango may just need this on the back of break. Dangerous Age is a course and distance winner and yet to be out of the money in both starts at the track. He lurks dangerously at the bottom of the weights. He is one to watch in the market as his yard is a shrewd outfit. Royal Aquisition is clearly going the right was and can land this and continue his progression and he is my selection.

Race3..Pull The Pin (IRE) has been consistent of late but looks too high in the weights. Reginald Claude could land this no problem but he is not consistent as showed last time out when turned over as favourite. Sleek makes his handicap debut off what could turn out to be a lenient mark. He is fitted with headgear and an improved run looks on the cards. Art Dzeko is a capable horse but has lost his when with Tim Easterby. He was run on unsuitably fast ground and it needs a new yard to restore confidence into him. Prince James is a course and distance winner and on a winning mark. He is one to fear if strong in the betting. Burren View Lady (IRE) got off the mark 2 runs back over course and distance. she was beaten last time on turf but she is still lightly raced and capable of running a big race. Not the greatest betting race with ost of these having questions to answer in one form or another. Sleek makes some appeal on his handicap debut and he is my tentative e/w selection.

Race4..Stella Clavisque (IRE) is progressing with each run and makes plenty of appeal here in the first time headgear. Singapore Secret (IRE) failed to build on her decent debut last time out but the yard is in red hot form and it is too early to write her off. Andy Dandy (IRE) shaped with promise on debut and is expected to come on for the run. Celtic Ice (IRE) hasn’t progressed and nurseries looks the way forward. Not a race that set the pulses soaring betting wise, Stella Clavisque looks to be the one to beat and is my tentative selection.

Race5..The best race on the card and the most competitive. Street Battle (USA) won over course and distance on debut landing a bit of a gamble. He as struggled since but is still lightly raced and too early to write off. Grilletto has won twice and placed in 3 runs at the track. He is 3lb above his last winning mark but he is not ruled out returned to this track. Yahilwa (USA) is James Tate other runner and she has got her act together of late winning 2 of her last 4 starts both of them at Southwell. Queen Aggie (IRE) won on her only start at the track but has struggled this year and is hard to fancy despite her drop in the weights. Liberty Jack (IRE) is still lightly raced and got off the mark last time out with a facile win at Lingfield. that was a weak race and he will need to pull out more to land this. Burning Dawn (USA) has been steadily progressive and has every chance if handling the change of surface. She is U.S bred so there is every chance that she will. A really trappy race with several in with legitimate claims. Yahilwa and Burning Dawn are progressive fillies and make plenty of appeal as does Liberty Jack who couldn’t of been more impressive last time out but we think that Grilletto offers some e/w value and he is my selection.

Race6..Unex Michaelangelo (USA) runs under a penalty after his emphatic win here on Monday. He is dropped in trip which isn’t sure to suit but he showed plenty of pace last time out and he is definitely the one to beat. Hawk Month (IRE) is a 2 times course and distance winner and on a winning mark. Quintet (IRE) makes her handicap debut of what could out to be a lenient mark. Glenridding (IRE) has been in fine form of late and will press Unex Michaelangelo up front. He is always a threat here and is no back number in a weak race. Jumbo Steps (IRE) took a long time to get off the mark but has backed up his 2 wins with 2 solid 2nd places. He is sent a long way over from Ireland and he has to be considered. It is hard to get away from Unex Michaelangelo who looks sure to go in again before being reassessed and he is my selection.

Race7..Ostaad (IRE) makes his belated reappearance after running a cracking race last October in a warm Newmarket maiden. The form is working out well and with fitness unlikely to be an issue with this yard he rates as the one they all have to beat. Godolphin also send Exploratory (USA) who ran a decent debut race at Lingfield behind 2 smart sorts. He has a fitness edge and looks the one to give his stable mate the most to do. Duchess Of Seville made a nice enough debut here over 9f finishing 3rd. She is sure to come on for the run and will improve for the step up in trip. Intrinsic makes plenty of appeal on paper and is one to note in the betting as the yard isn’t synonymous with debut winners but they are usually well backed if plenty is expected. Le Grande Cheval has shaped with promise on both starts to date and is another capable of taking a step forward. This is a cracking maiden and one to watch rather than bet in. Ostaad looks to be the one to beat if ready after a break. Exploratory and Duchess Of Seville head the dangers but we think Ostaad will win and is my selection.
