A few months back I highlighted what R Fradd had done in the East, there were people that defended him here...LB is found guilty of fraud (X2), and people post what a nice guy he is...CP wrote some nasty things, was suspended from TT, someone was going to report him to the HRC for racist comments, he apologised (I wonder if his apology was ever accepted)...there have been other instances that his behaviour has been questioned...there are people that still defend him...so Hibs where am I out of line??

FC u called Charl a loser, which is a personal attack on the man. It is an insensitive and hurtful comment and is out of place here. Now im sure Charl wont take u seriously but please understand that words are very powerful and u never know when u can make a difference to someone in this world, be it positive or negative. This is a forum for opinions on racing, sports etc, and is not a platform to hurl insults at people. Hopefully 1 day u will realise that when u throw insults and hurtful comments at someone else, u are also hurting yourself.

I'm not defending anyone here, and yes if someone steals they should face the full force of the law and yes it does take a certain type of person to steal. No one is defending the action, and maybe some people here know Lance Benson personally and feel sorry for the mess that he has got himself into.

I would have a guess that youre not so perfect yourself. In sure Charl, like you, me and everyone else has made mistakes in their life that they regret and have needed to atone for.

Got you...thanks for the post...you right CP is an adult with a family and I should know better.

Very well side sakay, people must look at them self first, before running others down.

Charl is a passionate, knowledgeable guy who loves horse racing, in my opinion, if he wants to sympathise with LB then he has every right to do so.

I don't have to agree but that does not have any bearing on what i think of Charl as a person. I wish Charl all the best in whatever he is doing and decides to do in the future. As for LB, well the courts have ruled and he will have deal with the implications of his actions.....

These type of threads that become so controversial in opinion, show very clearly that people have very different attitudes to honesty,efficiency,competence and even logic!!!!

What would be interesting would be the results of any studies that explain the variation in levels of tolerance! :S

Rob, it is my opnion that a lot of the controversy is due to lack of comprehension. The number of posts that are misinterpreted is staggering when you think that the huge majority of posters are middle to late life posters.

- I always found the LB articles in the SP to be strange and even more so now on the back of this story.

- Freeracer does a great job and the site was a catalyst for many people to join and enjoy forums.

- Blatantly ripping into peoples character from the sanctity of your keyboard is For Cowards.

Hear Hear......if there is one aspect of forums I would like see, is postings by real name............then people can post what they like,but knowing that their identities are attached to the opinions
