Lions vs Cheetahs tonight. I hear the Lions worked hard on their defence this week having 17 tries scored against them in 5 games, but have scored 24, 8 clear of the Cheetahs & Sharks. I see Bees Roux is back at prop for the Lions. This is going to be a thrilling contest and I can see 40 or more points scored.Lions by 5
Can the Sharks break a 3 year drought in Kimberley? I think so. They never 'pitched' at Newlands. Griquas are desperate for a win and playing at home, they will be under pressure and that can lead to mistakes. Du Toit is back at lock for the Sharks. Sharks by 10
Shreks try scoring machine (Deon Fourie) is not playing this week-end
The young Bulls side played a good 2nd half against the Cheetahs last week where they have been competitive for 60 min in previous matches before the wheels came off. That win and 80 min of rugby last week will boost the youngsters confidence. Having said that, 2 draws and 3 wins for WP and a team that never gives up and will give 100% for 80 min +.....but with Marius Jonker on the pitch.....
Tough to call, maybe a draw?

All tough matches this week in the Currie Cup and there is no consistancy from week to week. Will just watch the matches this weekend without having a bet.

Last week this time I would have said there is no way that the Bulls could beat WP; however the Bulls improved a lot against the Cheetahs, so I too think it will be a close game - both forward packs dominated last week and whoever wins the battle up front should have the edge - perhaps WP has the better defence, so they might end up on the winning side :S
The Sharks were poor last week and I definitely prefer Griquas on the handicap - and if the Sharks forwards have not improved (maybe Stef Du
Toit can add a bit of 'bulk'), I think Griquas may even beat them outright.
The Lions just need to be bit better in defence and they could have a real chance of beating the Cheetahs; the Cheetahs are at home, but they too had a poor game last week and have some injuries as well - another close game imo but maybe the Lions could provide me with a happy start to the weekend (tu)

Cheetahs to win by 8 and Lions will not get 4 tries, so no points
Griquas to beat the Sharks
WP to beat the Bulls
Griquas to beat the Sharks
WP to beat the Bulls

Strange decision early on by the Lions turning down 3 points in what will probably be a close game. :S
