They wanted the name changed to coco Chanel but the nhra would not pass it. To close to the perfume ! Even though that's Chanel no 5... So the name is now coco

Are you absolutely certain.

I remember something like CHANEL changed to CHANNEL (double N)

if you read joe ramsden latest blog he gives the reason for the change..his blogs are extremely entertaining...calls a spade a spade...well what a winter began his career at clairwood and if you told me he would end up with the career he has had after one run i would have admitted you to the nuthouse....great champion

Thank you for clearing up

so if the noms say Coco.......why would the publications still call the horse Chanel Five......sure the publications would have got the final fields from the FINAL acceptances.
