His unbeaten record is always something worth keeping up but doubt he would have been trained to the minute for this, bigger options in the Autumn/fall
Shea Shea is Fav for the Nunthorpe

Only 5 runners carded for Gr2 Hungerford Stakes.
Soft Falling Rain is the top weight.
The other runners are Caspar Netcher, Gregorian, Libranno and Tawhid.

From what Sheza has posted before, I would guess he is being sarcastic.
In any case, Saf-breds have placed 2nd or 3rd five times in UK Gr1's.
I don't see why a Gr1 or Gr2 win couldn't happen sometime soon.
It's just a weird fact that the best they have done in Gr2's is third, three times, likely due to having had few attempts at that level.

The Apache is definitely going for the Arlington Million and de Kock reckons he's ripe and ready.
Just b.t.w., the winner of the Arlington Million gets automatic entry into the Breeders Cup Turf, which may explain why de Kock keeps aiming horses at it. I'm speculating of course, but after Eagle Mountain's second a couple of years ago in the Breeder's Cup Classic, I bet he's been wanting that BC win to add to his cv. Let's hold thumbs that this is the one!
From the Sky Sports website -
"The Apache will aim to enhance South African Mike de Kock's impressive haul of big races in the Arlington Million on Saturday evening.
De Kock has made Meydan his second home in recent years, plundering many of the major prizes, and he has also collected huge pots in Hong Kong and Singapore.
David Livingston gave him a significant success at Haydock last weekend and now he is looking to The Apache, last seen finishing fourth in a Group Two at York, to make his name in America.
The Apache is one of several horses trained by De Kock to have spent the summer in Newmarket under the watchful eye of his assistant, Steve Jell.
"He won't be doing any more work before the race, all is well and he is race-ready," said Jell on www.mikedekockracing.com .
"The Apache improved several lengths after finishing fourth in his preparation run at York on July 27. He should give a good account of himself."
Godolphin will be represented by Saeed bin Suroor's Hunter's Light, a winner in Turkey last September and a Group One winner in Meydan in March and he continued his build up to the big race with a workout at Arlington on Thursday morning.
Steve Armstrong of Godolphin told www.godolphin.com : "Hunter's Light backed up for three furlongs and had another 10-furlong canter today.
"We gave him a wash down after his workout and everything is fine with the horse. He will do the same workout again tomorrow ahead of the race on Saturday."
Jeremy Noseda's Grandeur is favourite while Andrew Balding's Side Glance, the Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained Mull Of Killough and Marco Botti's Guest Of Honour have also made the journey."

The Apache will need to improve 10 lengths on his last run. I know MDK can work miracles but I will be impressed if he finds the placings.

Go on you little cowboy bastard!!!!!
What a great ride but let me tell you......The horse looked an absolute picture today!!!
Even the commentators on NBC said that the horse is MUCH the best going to post. They even tipped him to win!!!
Well done to MDK and especially his traveling team!! They did a SUPER job!
