Anton Marcus

Can anyone tell me whether Marcus is carrying an injury...he does seemed to have missed plenty of meetings over the last few months?

Sure he had an op on his hand

Saw Anton @ Clairwood Thursday morning...he is helping Charles Laird out who is in Hospital having a back op ? I think..he has his hand/thumb strapped but as always is in high spirits..hope he gets back soon, month end expenses are approaching

Titch, do you think he should have taken the ride on Blueridge Mountain as failing to keep her on a straight course clearly cost her the race?

I thought the same thing but Joey Ramsden defended him and said he did nothing wrong....

I think she found the trip a touch too far for her and hung under pressure...He had the same injury on VC and rode the perfect race...as per normal

Variety Club's race he had another week to heal and I recon you could put anyone on Variety Club's back and he would have won.

This is true, but if the Filly had got the trip then I think the same can be said about her chances in that field...

She did not hang because of the distance and Anton did as much as he could have............

Has anybody got the stats comparing the number of rides AM has had this season compared to last...I had the impression it was far less this season...even before this injury...I thought he missed quite a few meetings.

You are 100% FC last season stats read 704 rides for 205 wins and thus far this season 498 rides for 149 wins...the same applies to Delpech (901 last season and 506 thus far this season) and Gav Lerena (983 vs 574)
