Monash University Roodepoort - Skin Cat alive

Roodepoort Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) manager and senior inspector Mandy Cattanach said the kitten, about 12 weeks old, had parts of its body skinned while it was fully conscious, according to The Citizen.

The kitten was taken to a veterinarian where it had to be put down.

"The SPCA Roodepoort had been advised and is taking this issue of horrific mutilation of a defenceless creature with the utmost seriousness," Cattanach was quoted as saying.
