Will have a detailed look but can't stop thinking that I can have a big win on variety club to come first or a big place on beach beauty to run in the first 3 at double the odds "wink wink nudge nudge " B)-

True Frodo but I actually think BB can beat VC
So it will be the place on BB for scotia at twice the odds

I got burnt trying to beat v.c, so I'm rather taking doubles with him into the july, which just about doubles the odds on july fancies.

Hi guys, this saturday is some good racing and some nice horses contesting to give us some bankers for the exotics. Here are my best bets along with the exotic perms:

Race 5: General Sherman is the horse I lilke as its was running on nicely at greyville which has a shorter run in and was drawn wide and came from way back to be running on the best of the rest to finish 5th under 3 lengths behind. A BIG RUNNER at 7/2

Race 7: This is the race I can't wait to watch and this will be Variety Club's test against the filly I like which I thought would win the july. Beach Beauty is my selection to beat Variety Club as she is at her best distance not saying she will do it but is the danger and a nice price at 7/1 or a great place bet 8/10 first three absolute steal really. Pomodora should be there too so it should be a great race to watch

Race 8: Princess Victoria had a good come back run after a lay off and had no prep run what so ever so she should be good enough to win this and has a strong jockey up to assist her but has dissapointed before so I won't be banking her in my exotics maybe 2 others to add with jkpt and p6

PA. 1,11 x 2,3,4 x 8 x 1,3,4 x 1 x 1,3 x 2,4,7. R108

P6. 3,4,1,7,2 x 8,10,4,1,2 x 2,4,3,1,8,9,16,5,6,10,11 x 1,9 x 1,2,3,4 x 2,7,9,4,6,10,1. R1540. 10%

Jpt. 1,4,8,10 x 1,2,3,4,8,9,16,5,6,10,11 x 1,9 x 1,2,3,4,11. R440

Good luck guys,enjoy the racing

Variety Club is clearly the best miler in SA at the moment and only a fool will bet against it , especially after it's last run >:D<

having said that , races are made for upset possibilities and in my book , only two horses can beat him tomorrow ....the one a mare and the other a filly and both have bright futures in their own right.....BEACH BEAUTY and FESTIVAL OF FIRE B)-.....i will be definately covering in perms!!

MadMag : Thanks for your selections. I agree with Scorpion king regarding VC, quite clearly the best miler in SA however share MM's sentiments regarding BB as she can and probably will roll VC tomorrow, just my 2cents though.

Only way I think VC can get beat is with a strong pace, and there are no front-runners that I can see - so Marcus to set his own pace and win by the customary length or two (tu)

Hi Guys, here's what I fancy on the card :-

R2) - Chanel Five (5/1), appears to have won it's maiden relatively comfortable over 1400m, so I'm hoping the extra 50m won't be too much of a problem. Marcus up, coupled with a decent draw, I feel this is the one to beat and think it will start outright favourite.

R3) - Exelero (7/1 into 1/1), Englander raised a good point a few days ago regards the ante-post betting and adjustments. Assuming this shortening in the betting is as a result of genuine support, then I would take serious note because there is a two time winner and quite a few one time winners in the race. It's never easy winning a debut over 1450m, however (assuming the betting support is genuine) someone must feel it's good enough to beat this field - not that it takes too much money to move a first timer. Has anyone heard how good or bad this horse may be?

R5) - General Sherman (4/1), be warned though, more for personal reasons as I backed him eachway for the July, so I need him to win to stand any chance of making the final field. Having said that, I read GS put up good work during the week, so hopefully the good draw and light mass works in his favour - did play the treble with Variety Club and Princess Victoria. Hoping for the best.

Good punting.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
