Afternoon.

This afternoon completed and went as follows......

The 1st runner we wanted 2.9, and with being around 2.7/8 on arrival and getting and shorter and shorter, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay was beaten, so gamble foiled and a good result....

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting that and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....

Th 3rd runner we wanted 2.32, and with drifting to around 2.52 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The lay was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result........

The 4th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.0 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay went and won, so fair to him and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 4.1 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner was being opposed for plenty in running, and was nicely beaten in the end, so I guess somebody knew something there, but that's the game and one that got away in hindsight, although I'd have never have opposed as high as that, so neither here nor there to be honest.........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.32, and with drifting to around 2.64 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner tried to make all, but the weight was too much in the end and he was nicely beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! early traders happy though........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.5, and with getting that on arrival and getting shorter and shorter, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten, so gamble foiled and a good result.......

The 8th runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 3.15 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner went out of the race when looking beaten anyhow, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.15 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten after his own fault really, so one that got away in hindsight......

The 10th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.44 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.44. The lay went and won, so did well and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.........

The 11th runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 3.0 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 3.0 max. The lay was beaten after a battle, so coronarys for rollers, but a good result in the end.............

The 12th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 4.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.72. There was then another non runner and further 11.3% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.53 (2.54 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.96 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......

The 13th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being a well supported 2.6 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.6. The lay battled to win again, so very well done to him and the way it goes. Only traders playing now, and with them easily getting their trade back prices in running, they got away with it, so no harm done in the end.........

The 14th runner we wanted 3.7, and with being around 3.2 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.2. The price then drifted out to our own price of 4.0 and beyond, so a chance for traders (builders finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade crashed out of the race, so hope he's OK, but a good race financially........

The 15th runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.44 on arrival, around 15 minutes to the race and only a bit of trading left on offer, I'm calling it a day there, so good luck traders if you proceed, and hope you get your prices...........

WELL PLAYED........

'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target................They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner)............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after a battle they more or less broke level on their 5th lay (the 11th runner) so finish levels...........So with that leaving an insufficient amount to start another strategy, they end the afternoon winning 1 target...

Strategy/target players (bank builders) had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.8 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.3 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....

4 runner strategy (bank builders) £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.8 max. Result positive. Win £55

Total bank now £455

2nd lay £151 to win the remaining £45 @ 3.3 max. Result positive. Win £45

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

************************************

5 runner strategy (bank builders) £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.8 max. Result positive. Win £44

Total bank now £444

2nd lay £111 to win as much of the £56 needed @ 3.3 max. Result positive. Win £48

Total bank now £492

And so with being 'at least' within 10% of the target, they stop there as target hit.

Overall result. Target hit.

Traders won, or broke level on all their trades thus far, so they're doing well and good luck with the remaining couple.....

So builders had another nice and easy time of it, as they hit their targets and walk, and although rollers found a couple of winner, and had several drifters that caused annoyance, they still walked away winning one target, so a bit frustrating, but one a day would always suffice, so well played, have a nice evening, and speak in the morning....

Morning.

Yesterday I'm led to believe that builders once again hit their targets, so well played guys. Rollers won around 0.2 of a target as they were forced to stop with an insufficient amount of lays left, so a little win for them and well played. On with this afternoon's workings then...

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Never easy, and today no exception to that, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
