A couple of big races from Kranji today, can MDK win with Kavanagh?
Very competitive sprint plus Pastorius likely fav for the big race
Any views or comments?
Has been a few excellent previews via tellytrack

Kavanagh (Tiger Ridge) is in the Kris Flyer Sprint (R9) - off at 13h50 SA time. Last I looked he was joint 2nd favourite at 9/2 with Lucky Nine, Bel Sprinter the favourite at 3/1.
The SA Cup (R10) also has 2 SA interests, Flax (Silvano) and Lizarre (Jet Master) - off at 14h40 SA time.
Lizarre won his last race and has not been out of the first three in his previous 7 races. Trainer P Shaw, jockey B Vorster. 66/1 when I last looked, at the very bottom of the boards.
Flax is trained by D Hill and ridden by Verenzuela, and in his last seven races has a win, a second, a third and a fourth. He also has a distressing tendency to be knocked over by the heat, and has collapsed after the race on a couple of occasions. Odds of 50/1, with only Lizarre at longer odds.

Kavanagh came in fifth, 3.6 l behind the winner Lucky Nine. Not bad but not earth-shaking either.

Not bad at all. Winner was well clear, so he was only half a length off second place.
Brilliant win by Military Attack and nice to see Lizarre motoring home for fourth.

I was such an idiot, took a double this morning with Military Attack, 5/1 this morning, double goes out and now i backed MA at 5/2 - should have had on on the head punt at 5's:(, anyway a winning ticket all the sameB)-

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

And a nice fourth from Lizarre ... may not seem like much but think how far back he was and how many international horses were behind him.
