Shocking state of our roads...(td)

Couple of weeks back i travelled the Oliviershoek pass between Harrismith and Bergville. WOW!!! I couldn't believe the shocking state of this road, the complete tar surface running parrallel with the Sterkfontein dam is gone.

If anyone is planning to take this road rather go over Van Reenen's pass.

We were also on this road almost a year ago and it was bad then as well - but major roadworks were in progress - are they still busy or have they just abandoned them?

plenty in natal as well the recently completed venture just past pmb top class...my last road trips to jhb and cape the roads were superb.....

I travel from empangeni to newcastle....road are in good condition resurfaced maybe beacuse of Nkandla>

When we went to dullstroom/ liedenburg there was a road that was hectic with potholes at night must be a death trap?

I wonder how many on this forum actually know what a banana republic is...I have spent time working in Central and West Africa so i can relate...take my word we far off that.

My Chick and I flew down to the cape last year and I hired a car over there, was there for a week. We drove all over the place and I must say,I ddnt complain once about the roads nor the drivers, I dno,but I felt that the cape drivers are way more tolerant than Dbn n Joberg drivers. Even my girl agreed.
