We will never see another manager of he's ilk..
He must go down as the greatest ever club manager.
49 trophies, 13 PL titles..
Take a bow Sir Alex..
Saturdays game will be a emotional day for him and united.

you cannot include the 10 charity shields as those games are only meaningless season opener friendlies

How he was allowed to get away with all the rumblings, rantings and ravings while others were punished is simply mind-boggling.
Wonder if the same " priveleges " will be allotted to his successor.?

you right and thats why so many people have detested Man United over the years. Moyes is not like that at all

I am sure lots of managers are happy that he has now retired (forced to say some people)

On July 2nd, the longest serving Premier League managers will be:
1) Arsene Wenger
2) Tony Pulis
3) Roberto Martinez ( hopefully relegated)
4) Roberto Mancini
5) Alan Pardew - 2 and a half seasons (hopefully sacked)
This has got to be one of the hardest jobs anywhere. Most of the very best managers have fleeting success.
So big respect to SAF and good riddence.
