After all the high that Australian public has been experiencing with Black Caviar,we are now being hit with a scandal that is capturing headline news.Champion Trainer Gai Waterhouse who trained champion filly More Joyous for owner John Singleton is alleged to have withheld infor on the condition of the horse from the stewards and the owner but gave it to her Bookmaker son. That angered Singleton and in front of live television was seen having a go at her and her in return gives him a shoulder bump.Of course the two have had previous fights before but this has taken it to a new level.

While that has no direct relationship with the South African horse racing it begs to question Why a horse that has no chance of winning should run a race and should the public be told?

The raucous is more about the split between owner and trainer and less about the why. Just tabloid news that sells me thinks.
