I had a substantial bet on the fave in race 1. 9 horse field 2 scratchings. 7 runners so one assumes 2 places. Places on fave pays 1.60 up to after they change to the next race about 4 minutes later.Check official result. fave pays 1.00 and they are paying 3 places. Do we have different rules for harness racing?

My question is more concern for the fact that the tote can pay 3 places for 7 horses in a field. Is the software not set to calculate for 2 places for 7 horses and less? Can the operator manually change the number of paid places?

According to Free tabsheet 8 horses and over CARDED = 3 places paidout, host rules TABCORP apply.

Just a word of advice, don't EVER play places on the odd-on hotties as the rebate seeking Aussies will plunge and knock the dividends to money back NO GUARANTEE !!!
