Another question for the racing guru's and historians...

Okay last week I asked about cheap auction purchases who went on to win one of our big three races, but what about the expensive ones. So my question is, what was the most paid at auction for a July handicap winner, a Met winner, and a Summer cup winner? and did the winning purse recoup their original auction price paid?
