Champions, Kolkata Knight Riders take on Dehli Daredevils in the opening game. The Daredevils will start the tournament without K Pietersen & Jesse Ryder. Morne Morkel is still in SA to play for the Titans and Sehwag withdrew due to back spasms.

KKR is without Brendon McCullum, James Pattinson & J Kallis. On paper KKR look the stronger and if Bisla continue's where he left off last year, the hometeam should win.

far too many matches. 76 in 54 days. I have lost interest in 20/20 because most of the time you get scores of around 140-160. To much of a good thing eventually becomes stale.

This hit and miss cricket anything can happen but what I look at is the team with the most depth of Indian Players as quite often you have an average 4th and 5th Indian bowler going for 100 in their 8 overs between them.

Looking at the sides I like Chennai Super Kings with Indian players: Dhoni, Raina, Badrinath, Vijay, Jadeja, Ashwin and Saha (WK) to go with the internationals of Hussey, Du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Hilfenhaus, Albie Morkel, Nannes plus a few others. They seem to have a well balanced side and a captain that knows how to win these comps. (tu)

Not yet .... they only been there 4 days and have been in rehearsals etc. ever since arriving at the hotel... and if that was a asnide remark you may well inherit some craters on your cranium which would make a good landing spot for apollo 69 !!
