deductions

just had a look at usa racing, 55/1 shot gets scratched at the start and there is a 5% deduction. Are our bookies to scared to price up correctly. Prices are taken from interbet.

That means our bookies are deducting way too much for
scratchings. It seems like our bookies are ripping us off.

The game would be so much cleaner with no bookies, its disgusting that they deduct on anything over 12/1 ,nothing for the punter, only a good f#%&* every time.

actually titch, its no deduction after 10/1...and thats taken on their sp which has a stretch built in...ie..if a horse is 10/1 on the blower and marshalls usually has the price of the 10/1 shot as 12/1...there is no deduction on any bets laid....also their calculations on deductions are done on THEIR prices which is most times above the blower price.

We have to watch, and although not compelled to bet, it is what we do. However, this Phili track, after watching last night, seems to be intensely corrupt. Odds-on favourites, quite blatantly, are non triers. They get left, they don't even try to get into the race. What Crapola. Doing your cash is a part of the game, we all know that, but doing it without a prayer? well, that is so wrong on so many levels! No wonder horse racing is losing its appeal. With Roulette you have a 50/50 (EXCLUDING THE ZERO) chance on the colours.

Everywhere that they have turned racing turnovers around, they identified trust in the product as a vital component, and regulation became (including seen to be) draconion.
Perhaps the USA regulation is as non-existent as ours?...........would explain why their local racing is in the same financial state as ours.
